Thai Lottery

The Thai Government Lottery, known as สลากกินแบ่ง is drawn on the 1st and 16th of every month, televised live from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm ICT. The game is administered by the Thai Government Lottery Office (GLO), who in return receive a 28% share of the lotteries profits for state use.

Thai Lottery cost 80 baht per ticket, tickets can only be purchased from official retail agents, either in the form of individual lottery vendors or lottery ticket stands often found outside of shops.

How the draw works

Drawings take place at the GLO headquarters under the supervision of an unaffiliated guest acting as an official witness. If the draw day (1st or 16th) falls on a public holiday, the draw will be postponed and held the following day.

The Thai Lottery draw consists of six-digit numbers being drawn for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th prizes, totalling 165 draws. Three-digit numbers are then drawn for the 3 digit prize, totalling four draws. A two-digit number follows for the single 2 digit prize. Finally the six-digit number is drawn for the first prize, which subsequently reveals the special ±1 consolation prize numbers.
